Edible Gardener’s Chat & Seed Exchange

Grow your own food -Learn new skills -Meet new people -Share your knowledge

Looking for like-minded people that want to learn more about Edible and Sustainable Gardening?

Used to garden up north and are now challenged with our unique SW Florida growing environment?

Whether you are an experienced gardener willing to share your skills and passion with your local community or you’re a keen learner hoping to turn thumbs green, come along to our monthly sessions and help to sow, nuture and grow a variety of plants, flowers, and vegetables.

We will be discussing edible gardening as well as integrated pest management techniques, various types of gardening ideas & projects, and help troubleshoot backyard gardens with regard to plant selections & timing, pests & diseases, watering & sustainability as well as any other things of interest that pertain to sustainable edible gardening. We will be doing a fun gardening project at each meeting, so please be sure to RSVP to make sure we have enough supplies for everyone.

Seed / transplant swap for those interested – if you bring a couple, you may take a couple.

Come and meet others who are interested in sustainable, edible gardening and talk in-depth to people who have their own productive edible gardens. This is intended to become an ongoing monthly event (2nd Monday) to help build a community for those who enjoy permaculture, edible and sustainable gardening! Anyone interested is welcome to join us.

Meetings occur every 2nd Monday of each month from 5:30pm to 7pm
